Moventia, Catalan company leader in public transport and mobility solutions, and Smoove, French company leader in bike sharing systems, joined efforts and capacities in order to provide the best bike sharing solution to the city of Helsinki, and founded City Bike Finland, with the aim of bidding together for future contracts to operate in other Finnish cities, too.
Thanks to that, Helsinki city bike ten years contract was signed back in December 2015 between HKL and the Moventia and Smoove consortium.
Shortly afterwards, a new success for this strong Consortium has come: awarding the 8 years contract for operating the Public Bike system in the nearby city of Espoo, from 2018 – 2025, considering a cycling period from 2nd May to 31st October.
